As the Manager of RBF's Regulatory Services, Mr. Beck specializes in due diligence activities related to hazardous materials and biological (drainage and wetland) constraints. Mr. Beck conducts and oversees the preparation of hazardous material assessments prepared for the California Department of Transportation, Department of the Navy and public and private sector clients. Real properties have ranged in size from roughly 1-acre to 1,900 acres. Mr. Beck has prepared hundreds of hazardous materials assessments, which included detailed literature/historical reviews, thorough site reconnaissance, interviews, and professional conclusions-opinions with respect to site conditions and the need for additional investigation. Mr. Beck also assists in the preparation of environmental documents with respect to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Mr. Beck has been involved with the EAA Advisory Council for approximately one year, where he has provided comments on draft policies as well as reviews of hazardous-material related documents.
